The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It has been an everyday part of the school calendar since 2008.

We assist students NAPLAN preparation to achieve better results. NAPLAN is useful in highlighting key areas of difficulty for students which can then be a focus area of learning at our centre. NAPLAN assesses students on:

• reading

• writing

• language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation)

• numeracy

We provide mock NAPLAN exams (to help encourage familiarity and ease nerves) and sample questions to prepare students for their impending exams.

It is important to note that the school curriculum extends beyond NAPLAN and whilst it is a good guide on where students may need assistance, we do not solely focus on its results. We provide our own assessment and work to students to build a strong foundation of key skills required in Primary and for the lead up to High School.
